Environmental Health Officer
Applications are invited for
the position of Environmental Health Officer within the Regulatory section
of the Masterton District Council.
The Council is looking for a
progressive and motivated person who will hold a diploma in Environmental
Health Science (or equivalent) and demonstrate knowledge of the wide range
of environmental health related duties including water supplies and consent
monitoring.
The successful applicant
will have good written and oral communication skills and interpersonal
skills to enable the officer to liaise with Council’s clients and produce
reports on a timely basis and be able to work as a senior member of the team
with a customer service focus.

Management Act and planning processes, knowledge of local government and a

Waste Network Engineer
(Permanent full-time position)
Applications are invited for the position of Water and Waste Network
Engineer with the Masterton District Council.
We are
seeking someone who can demonstrate familiarity with local government asset
management and in engineering relating to the operation of water, wastewater
and stormwater network services. They will need to possess contract and
project management skills and experience in operational and capital budget
management processes. We anticipate the successful applicant will hold a
relevant tertiary qualification and, ideally membership of IPENZ.
The
Council will appoint someone to this role who is analytical, results driven,
a team player, energetic and possess good written and oral communications
skills with the capability to develop excellent customer relationships. As
well they will have a personal willingness and ability to work in and adapt
to a changing environment.
