Latest News The Murray King Memorial Scholarship This scholarship was established in 1998, as a memorial to the late Murray King, who was a pioneer in the development of soil conservation and sustainable land management programmes in the Wairarapa.  The scholarship is worth up to $2,000 and will be awarded annually either as one scholarship or divided into several.  It will be awarded to Wairarapa students attending university to obtain degree qualifications, with particular emphasis on sustainable land management, indigenous forest management and soil conservation.  Students who have completed part or all of their secondary education in the Wairarapa, or who live in the Wairarapa at the time of applying for the scholarship are eligible.  Applications close 4 pm Wednesday 31st December 2008.  Further information and application forms are available from Murray King Memorial Scholarship, c/- Masterton District Council, P O Box 444, Masterton 5840 – phone (06) 370 6300, or can be downloaded below Murray King Memorial Scholarship Application Form Murray King Memorial Scholarship Information 09 December 2008
