Water Restrictions Lifted
Masterton District Council urban and Taueru water
restrictions are over.
The Council has lifted its restriction on alternate day use
of sprinklers.
James Li, Utility Services Manager says the co-operation of
the public has been so good that we have stayed within our
consents and have not needed to consider additional
restrictions.
"We were getting a bit worried when it was so hot early in
February but we have been helped by the cooler weather in March
and more rain than we have had in some other years".
The rivers are still low so we need people to continue to be
careful with their water use says James.
The Council wants to thank its residents for their
co-operation.
