Public Meeting - Draft Local Alcohol Policy
A public meeting is to be held on Tuesday
23rd September to discuss the draft Local Alcohol
Policy (LAP) which has been prepared by the three
Wairarapa councils for public consultation.
Masterton Library Makes Borrowing Even Easier
Masterton District Library is now even easier to
use with the introduction of a state-of-the-art
self-issue system, which makes borrowing books and
other items faster and simpler than ever before.
This new system is a world-first and has been
developed in partnership with leading library
software provider Civica.
Public Notice is
hereby given that pursuant to sections 83 and 87 of
the Local Government Act 2002, and sections 78 and
79 of the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 the
three Wairarapa councils have prepared a Statement
of Proposal and draft Local Alcohol Policy (LAP) for
the purposes of formal consultation.
Vincent Aviation to Operate Regular Masterton
and Auckland Service
Masterton District Council has accepted a
proposal from Vincent Aviation to operate a
commercial air service at Hood Aerodrome, which will
ensure weekday flights between Masterton and
Auckland will re-commence in mid-November.

Completion Options for Homebush
With the Homebush Wastewater Treatment Plant
nearing completion, Masterton District Council is
using the winter break to evaluate options for
finishing the project with the best possible

the classification of a German Shepherd dog as menacing by deed,
following an incident on 8th February 2014.
