Easter Sunday Shop Trading
Masterton District Council adopted the Easter
Sunday Shop Trading Policy at their meeting on 22
February 2017. The policy permits shops throughout
the Masterton district to open on Easter Sunday.
Masterton Urban Ward and Taueru Alternate Day
Water Sprinkling Restrictions
Public Notice is hereby given that an alternate
day water sprinkling ban will be in force from
Monday 1st December 2014 to 31st March 2015, in the
Urban Masterton water supply and Taueru water supply
Wairarapa Rural Fire District - Restricted Fire
Fire By Permit Only
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 22 of
the Forest and Rural Fires Act, 1977, that a:
RESTRICTED FIRE SEASON has been imposed on
the lighting of fires in the open on all lands
within the Wairarapa Rural Fire District.
Holiday Arrangements & Services
The Masterton District Council offices (including
the Roading and Utility Services Division, Planning
and Inspectors Department) will close at 1.00pm on
Friday 23 December 2016 and re-open on Wednesday 4th
January 2017 at 8.00am.
Restricted Access to Masterton &
Carterton CBDs during Christmas period for Trade
Related and Utility Operators.
Masterton and Carterton will be operating a
Brown-out in our CBD areas from the 12th December to
9th January 2017.
If there is essential work activity within these
areas required during this period prior discussion
will need to be held with the Corridor Manager.
Masterton & Carterton District Councils will not be
accepting Corridor Access Request applications from
the 16th of December to the 9th January 2017.
Queen Street Wai-Fi Free Public WiFi
Masterton District Council is proud to
announce the launch of “Wai-Fi”, a free public Wi-Fi
service in Queen Street available to all residents
and visitors to Masterton.
