Shaping Our Future Waihangatia Ngā Rangi Meake Nei - 2016/17 Annual Plan

Council's draft Annual Plan for 2016/17 is out now!
The 2016/17 Annual Plan is Year 2 of the Long Term Plan (LTP) that Council adopted last year.  The Consultation Document that outlines key differences between what we said we were going to do in Year 2 of the LTP, and the proposed work programme for the coming year, is now available.

Food Act (2014) Fees and Charges

The Food Act 2014 came into effect on 1 March 2016. The Act requires food premises to operate under a Food Control Plan (FCP) or National Programme and enables Council's to fix fees to recover the direct and indirect costs of Council's functions under the Act.

Road Closure Notice -  (Blairlogie)

We have just been advised by the contractor that Masterton Castlepoint Road closure is now necessary today (between 9am and 3pm) in lieu of traffic control which would have caused much longer delays.
We realise this is short notice and apologise for any unexpected inconvenience this will cause.

Further to previous communications, this is to advise that the Masterton Castlepoint Road will be closed Monday and Tuesday next week with potential stop/go Manual Traffic Control on Wednesday and possibly Thursday.  After this, Masterton District Council (MDC) would expect one further road closure under Manual Traffic Control with some minor delays.
Thank you for your continued patience on this job.  MDC has seriously considered going to manual traffic control, however some of the delays would be longer than the detour, and every day that MDC closes the road avoids a potential four days traffic control.  Hence the reasons for the road closures - albeit the number that have eventuated were more than originally envisaged.
At this stage MDC would expect the job to be finished late April, early May.

Please be aware of the Whareama School as you approach it - especially at 2.45pm when children are leaving.
Have a great weekend.
