Decisions on Submissions

The three Wairarapa District Councils (Masterton, Carterton and South Wairarapa) have prepared a Combined District Plan, under the Resource Management Act.

Decisions on the Proposed Combined District Plan are now available for inspection and appeal. The decision reports are based on the Chapter topics in the Combined District Plan.

The Plan’s Two Volumes

The District Plan Text (Volume 1) and Planning Maps (Volume 2) have been amended to reflect the decisions.

Volume 1: Objectives, Policies and Rules

Volume 2: Maps

Hard copies of the District Plan are available for viewing at the Council offices and public libraries.

Two versions of District Plan Text (Volume 1) have been prepared to show the decision amendments. Version 1 shows the amendments by decisions to the text as tracked changes (additions to text are shown as underlined (abcdefghijkl) and deletions are shown as struck through (abcdefghijkl). Version 2 shows the District Plan text as amended by decisions if the provisions become operative without further change.

Appeals

Any person who has made a submission has the right to appeal the decision on the proposal to the Environment Court. The appeal must be on Form 7. Copies of this form are available from the District Council offices or by the clicking this link (Form 7). Any appeal must be lodged within 30 working days of service of the notice of decision.
