Organising An Event
If your event requires road closure, parking restrictions,
places extra demand on the emergency services or will impact on
normal road, noise or environmental conditions - you may well
require permission from the local authority. In the case of
applying for a road closure or removal of parking facilities you
must give the local authorities 60 days notice. This allows time
to discuss your traffic management plan. advertise your
intentions to the general public and confirm the logistics of
putting the closure, diversion or restrictions into place.
Failure to do this could result in your event not proceeding.
