Alcohol Licensing

The Masterton District Council is required by statue to provide the facilities to operate a District Licensing
Committee for the purposes of enforcing the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012.

The District Licensing Committee processes over 250 applications per year which covers On-Off-Club and Special Licences and Manager’s Certificates.

 Alcohol Licence Early!

If you require a Special Licence, please
remember to apply at least 20
working days
from the date of the event.
It is not possible to process licences at
short notice, so don't put your function
at risk by leaving it until the last minute.
