MDC (Services: Property)

The main function of parking control is to ensure traffic flow is maintained throughout the Central Business District (CBD) of Masterton and to ensure customers and visitors have an equal opportunity for parking.

Parking in Masterton

Parking meters are installed in certain streets within the CBD and these operate during the hours of 9am-5pm Monday-Friday and 9am-noon on Saturdays.  Fees are fixed at $1.00 per hour during these times.
Within one block of the CBD, there is time-limit free parking of between 5 minutes and 120 minutes, according to the location.

Mobility Parking

There are a number of mobility parking spaces available to drivers or passengers who hold a current mobility parking permit and are using it legitimately. Vehicles parked in one of these spaces are still liable for any parking fees which apply, although there is an additional allowance of 50% extra parking time per visit. For example, a vehicle parked in a P120 space will have up to 180 minutes parking time without penalty, whereas a vehicle parked in a P30 location will be able to remain there for 45 minutes.
