Pool complex closes for maintenance 

Masterton swimmers can look forward to spruced-up pools at the Trust House Recreation Centre (THRC) after maintenance work scheduled for July and August.

The seven-lane lap pool, spa, sauna and changing facilities will close from 25 July to 27 August while the repairs are made.

The gym, stadium, and back pool will continue operating as normal says Centre Manager Nikki Roud.

“Come to reception like you always would and the team can direct you to the right place. The five-lane pool and changing rooms will be open and regular classes like aqua aerobics and swimming lessons will be going ahead.

We’re here to help so please give us a call or pop in and see us if you’re not sure how the closure will affect you.”

Swim programmes will continue as normal and public lane swimming, water walking, and aqua classes will operate on a revised timetable available on the THRC website and at the centre reception.

Among other improvements, the closed pools will be cleaned and regrouted, lights will be replaced, and the hydroslide will be repaired.

Group Manager Infrastructure Tyler Ross says it’s important to keep on top of repairs.

“Regular maintenance keeps the place safe and comfortable for our community. There is inconvenience but we’re confident people will appreciate the refreshed space when the work is complete.”
