Whare Pukapuka
If you’re a resident or ratepayer of Masterton, it’s free to become a member of the Masterton District Library. If you live outside the district a membership costs $120 per family.
As part of the Breathing new life into our whare pukapuka project, the library has closed its Queen Street site and will open at a temporary site at 45 Chapel Street on 17 November.
The Library has lots of resources and services for you to use, we have:
- books, CDs, DVDs, magazines, talking books, large print books and e-books,
- daily newspapers from around New Zealand,
- internet access, photocopying, and scanning facilities.
Through the Library and the SMART libraries collaboration you have access to over 660,000 items. You can search the collection using the online catalogue or by downloading the free library app that lets you reserve items and check out books from your phone. You can watch the video below for more information about using the app.
