Special Voting | Late Nights

Didn't get your papers? You'll need to make a special vote! We're making it easier with our special voting late nights.

You might need to cast a special vote if:

o Your voting pack hasn’t arrived in the mail.
o You enrolled or updated your address after 1 August 2025.
o You're on the unpublished (confidential) electoral roll.
o You lost or damaged your voting pack.

The process is simple and takes around 15 minutes. You don't need to make an appointment or bring ID, just come to Waiata House between 4pm - 7pm and cast your vote.

Can't come and see us? You can also vote using the telephone dictation service by calling 0800 666 040 between 9am and 4:30pm.
