Microchipping helps identify your pet if they go missing, with microchipped pets more likely to make it home compared to those who aren't chipped. It's a universal method of checking a pet's identity, with most animal centres using microchip scanners. It is also a requirement under the Dog Control Act for dogs to be microchipped.
