One number to rule, make that ring, them all!

A single phone number for Masterton District Council at any time will make life easier for residents with after-hours queries.

The Council no longer has a separate after-hours number, and all calls can go through its 06 370 6300 number.

Between 5pm and 8am (9am on Tuesdays), callers can press 1 to leave a message for non-urgent matters, 2 to be put through to the after-hours service, and 3 to go through to the Masterton District Library number.

After-hours calls now go to a call centre that handles calls for many councils including the other Wairarapa district councils
