Cultural Festival returns – Saturday, 5 September

Masterton’s fourth annual Cultural Festival takes place on Saturday (5 September) with a fun, family-orientated celebration of food and performances at the War Memorial Stadium from 10.30am-2pm.

There will be 11 food stalls and seven information stalls.

Performances from a range of cultural groups begin at 11am, including Pasifka, Indian, Malaysian, and Filipino.

Visitors are encouraged to bring cash as stalls may not have access to electronic payment.

Masterton Mayor Bex Johnson said the festival had become a key part of Masterton’s calendar.

“We are very proud of the many cultures that make up Masterton,” she said.

“The community is enriched by what different cultures bring, and the Cultural Festival is a great opportunity for people to learn more about these cultures – and taste some delicious food!”
