Strong Wind Warning | Coastal Area of Wairarapa
There is a Strong Wind Warning in place for the Coastal areas of Wairarapa. This is effective from 9am Thursday 1st May to 12am Friday 2nd May. Expect severe gale southwesterlies gusting 130 km/h in exposed places.
Damage to trees, powerlines, and unsecured structures possible. Driving may be difficult, especially for high-sided vehicles and motorcycles. Prepare your property by securing items that can be picked up by strong winds and drive cautiously.
There is also a Heavy Rain Watch in place for Wairarapa from 1pm Wednesday 30 April to 9pm Wednesday 30 April and a Strong Wind Watch in place for inland areas of Wairarapa from 1pm Thursday 1st May to 1am Friday 2nd May.
