Planned Water Shutdown | Ngaumutawa Road and West Bush Road | Monday 6th October 2025 from 7.00am to 7.00pm.
The water supplying Ngaumutawa Road between Hillcrest Street and Judds Road, West Bush Road between 5 and 146, all of Donalds Road, 20 and 31 Boundary Road and 183, 211a, 211b, 211c, 245 Upper Plain Road may be shut down for water main maintenance work at the indicated date and time above. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and suggest that you store water for use during this period.
If you need water during this period, there will be a water truck available on the corner of West Bush Road and Donalds Road for use - to fill up containers when needed.
- Try not to use the hot taps while the water is off. The hot water cylinder may be damaged if the water level gets too low.
- Do not use washing machines, automatic dishwashers or other appliances that use water during the shut-off period as they may be damaged if used without water.
- In the event of inclement or persistent weather, work will be deferred to a later date.
- When the water supply is turned back on, the water may have a milky-white appearance. This is caused by small air bubbles in the water supply and will not affect taste or quality. We will try to eliminate most of the air from the system when the supply is restored. However, if air is still visible in your water, running a tap for a few minutes should clear it from your pipes.
The water may be restored earlier than indicated.
