An arborist has been engaged to remove two gum trees near the Whitipoua bridge due to safety concerns. Works are planned to start Wednesday 15 October and be completed by end of day Friday 17 October, weather permitting
The trees have been assessed by arborist contractors and will be removed due to the risk they pose to the community given their state and proximity to the recreation trail.
The arb team will set up an exclusion zone (red area) to ensure community safety whilst works are carried out. Temporary pedestrian access routes are shown in green.
