Roadworks | Bute Road

The team have worked hard and were able to complete the major components of the road reconstruction well ahead of time and the road has now been sealed. This means that Bute Road is currently open to all traffic, however, strictly under a reduced speed limit of 30km/h. Please take extra care and adhere to warning signs and speed limits as there are loose chips on the road surface.

There are some minor auxiliary and finishing works remaining which will be carried out next week. This means that traffic will need to be stopped for longer periods on Tuesday, 14 April 2026 til Friday, 17 April 2026 (between 8am and 5pm) excluding weekends to carry out our work safely.

Every 2 hours, vehicles can pass through the work area in each direction. A traffic management worker will allow you to pass through the worksite. This means you may have to wait for a period of 2 hours, every effort will be made to get you through the site if passable during the above-mentioned times, please plan for delays and adjust travel accordingly. Please follow instructions of traffic management personnel on site.

This work is planned for on Tuesday 14 April 2026 til Friday 17 April 2026 (between 8am and 5pm) excluding weekends however, in the event of bad weather or other unforeseen circumstances the work may be delayed until the next available fine day.
