Road Closure | Jetty Road from RP0.140 to RP 0.975 - Approximately Number 1 to Number 108 Jetty Road | Saturday 21st March 2026 from 8.00am to 5.00pm.

The Castlepoint Racing Club (Inc) will be holding their Annual Race Day at Castlepoint Beach on Saturday 21st March 2026. In conjunction with the Masterton District Council, the Club has been granted permission to close Jetty Road, including marked parking spaces, to vehicular traffic alongside the race area. We are aware this causes some inconvenience for residents and beach house owners.

Council grants the following road closure:

Jetty Road from RP0.140 to RP 0.975

Pursuant to section 342(1)(b) and the Tenth schedule of the Local Government Act

1974, the following road will be closed to ordinary vehicular traffic for the purpose of

permitting Horse Racing Activities.

Road Closure to Ordinary Vehicular Traffic

Jetty Road from RP0.140 to RP 0.975. Detour routes are not available.

Period of Closure

Saturday the 21st of March 2026, from 0800 hours to 1700 hours.

It will be an offence under the Act for any person otherwise than under authority of

an authorised permit to use the road for ordinary vehicular traffic during the period

of closure.
