QE Park swingbridge closed from Monday, 3 August 2026

The swingbridge over the Waipoua River from Queen Elizabeth Park will be closed from Monday 3 August to allow comprehensive maintenance to be carried out.

The work is scheduled to be completed in mid-November and the bridge will remain closed until that time. The nearest alternative pedestrian crossing of the Waipoua River is over the SH2 bridge by the northern roundabout.
