Water Main Renewal | Lowes Place
Water Main Renewal Works for Lowes Place
G&C Diggers as contractors to Masterton District Council are installing a new water main along Lowes Place. This work will involve excavating a trench to lay a new pipeline within the carriageway, near the kerb. It will also run through the alleyway between Lowes Place and High Street, and connect to the existing water main at that point to improve water quality issues in the local network.
This work is planned to commence 1st May with construction to take between four to six weeks. The majority of this work will take place during day time hours (7.00am and 5.00pm) with the final connections to the existing Council water mains to occur during night time hours (7.00pm to 6.00am), to minimise the impact of water shut-downs to residents.
Traffic on Lowes Place will be reduced to one lane when trenching is taking place to install this new water main. Traffic controls will be in place. The alleyway between Lowes Place and High Street will be closed for the duration of the new main installation through that section.
We ask for your assistance in completing this work as efficiently and as safely as possible by parking your vehicles within your property for the duration of this work, as it will free up the space required on the road for this work.
We thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work to renewal your water networks for a more reliable and resilient water supply.
