Got an idea that could make a positive difference for young people in Masterton?
The Masterton District Youth Council Youth Grant helps young people bring their ideas to life. Whether it is an event, workshop, project or activity, we want to support ideas that are led by young people and create positive experiences for other young people.
You can apply for up to $500.
The Youth Grant scheme is recognition of Council’s ongoing commitment to supporting youth voices, outlined in the youth development strategy - Te Rautaki Rangatahi o Wairarapa.
Applications are open from 1st September to 30th September 2026
Applicants will be required to present their application to the assessment panel at a date following the grant closing.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible to apply you must be:
- Be 12-24 years of age
- Complete your project between 15th October 2026 and 31st August 2027.
- Deliver your project in the Masterton district
- Live in the Masterton district
- Be leading or helping to lead the project
- You will need show how you plan to use the money and complete an accountability form that we will provide after your event or initiative is completed.

- Deliver to Waiata House, 27 Lincoln Road, Masterton
